How long have you been doing photography? If you want to get technical, My first session was my parents wedding when I was 5 years old! They gave me a disposable camera and let me go wild! Ever since then, I've always had some sort of camera in my hand. I have been shooting professionally since 2015 and have been perfecting my craft every year since!
Where are you located? I am located in Fort Wayne, Indiana and my studio space is in Decatur, Indiana. I am willing to travel certain distances to surrounding areas for no additional fee. Depending on where you are located, there may be a travel fee of $25-$50, depending on how far I am traveling.
How much is a session? Session fees start at $500. That is a non-refundable retainer to book your date and must be paid to get you on the books and hold your spot. Products and Digital Images are sold separately. Minimum investment is $1,800 and prepayment plans are required when booking. We offer collections and a la cart items and I will go over all of those items on our one on one phone consult and will send over a price list once we have your session booked.
How does a session work? First, we get you on the phone! We have a one on one conversation about why you want to book, what your ideal shoot is, pricing, products and outfit choices! Everything sounds good? We book your date! I send out your invoice and you pay your retainer fee, and sign your contract/s. Then I send out your welcome guide, a quick questionnaire to get to know you and all my other little email goodies with special information about your session. Up until your session, I'll send out a series of emails like prep guilds and information about what to wear during your session. Have any other questions? Feel free to contact me anytime at [email protected] and I will reply during business hours. The day of your session is the easiest! We get you prepped (Hair and Makeup for maternity and boudoir), get you dressed (with your outfits, or mine if you've chosen to utilize the client closets), and then you leave it up to me! I will pose you from your head to your toes and will show you exactly what to do to let you know exactly what I'm asking of you. All you have to do is have fun and be you!
How long do sessions typically last? Hair and makeup typically take about an hour to an hour and a half. Maternity, Family and Couple sessions take about an hour. Boudoir depends on us! Usually that will take about an hour to an hour and a half. You don't ever need to feel rushed, I promise we will take the time needed to get the perfect photos during your session.
How do you customize each session to be unique and different for each person? I love making each session unique and personal for each and every person I photograph! How I do that is by sending out a questionnaire for you to fill out. Each question helps me get to know you and your exceptions for your session. It also helps me get a feel about your personality and how I can serve you the best. I love getting to know my clients on a personal level so that once your session date arrives, we are more like besties instead of strangers! It makes for much better photographs and gets your comfortable in front of the camera. I also utilize my VIP group on Facebook (Boudielicious Babes, if you are 18+ and a She/Gay/They, click the link!) to get to know my clients as well as possible. We are more like a family over there and look out for and support each other like no other.
Is the client closet available to anyone? The maternity closet is available to all expectant mommas and can also be used for non maternity sessions as well. The dresses are very flattering on all body types! The boudoir client closet is also available for all clients and we have over 200+ pieces in all shapes and colors, sizes run from XS to 5X.
What if I do not want to have my photos posted online? That is completely up to you! I offer a model release contract to all my clients and you can sign at your discretion, unless you specifically apply for a Boudie Call that I offer as those require a model release contract to be signed. Otherwise, if you want to keep your photos anonymous, that is completely fine! I also offer the option in my questionnaire to choose if you want full privacy, particle privacy, if you'd like to choose which photos are posted, or if you are fine with them all being posted!
What is the typical turn around time for me to receive my photos and products? We do same day image reveals about 90 minutes after your session so you can see a soft edit on all final images and can choose what photos you want for the collection you started your prepayment plan on. Products are not ordered until all transactions are complete and your invoice is paid in full. All invoices must be paid up within 30 days of your session. Once your invoice is paid, orders go in for products on Fridays and it is a typical turn around time of 4-6 weeks to receive your physical products and digital galleries are sent out within 14 days from your session date or when final payment is made All products are shipped to me to make sure they are absolutely perfect and once I look over them, I will email you to set up a product pickup date!
What are your canceling/rescheduling policies? Reschedules must be made at least 72 hours before your session, and you get one reschedule, free of charge. If you must reschedule again, there is a $300 reschedule fee. Cancelations must be made at least 2 weeks before your session or there is a cancelation fee of $500. I completely understand that life happens and we get sick, we have kids and can't get baby sitters, etc, but that date has been reserved for you, I have booked my hair and makeup artist and my studio, and I have not been able to book that date because I am saving it for your session, which means loss of business for me. If you can find someone to take your date, you get one reschedule free of charge. If you must cancel your session completely, your retainer is non refundable and all of this is outlined in your contract that I have you sign before booking your date. Please understand that these practices are in place so that time and resources are not wasted, mine or yours! Thank you :)
Do you have a referral program and do repeat clients get a discount? Yes I do! I offer a referral program to all my clients. You will get a code on your prep guild email, and a virtual referral card. If a client refers to you by name and uses that code or referral card, That will get you money off of your future session retainers! You can also get up to a $500 discount on future collection purchases.
Repeat clients also get perks! Your first repeat session is 10% off. Second is 20%. If you come back a 3rd time, you will get 50% off of your session fee, AND will receive a discount on product collections. These can not be combined with any other offers or discounts.
