I'm Ashlee, and I'm the face behind Midnight & Lace!
I'm primarily a natural light photographer and you can see in each and every session of mine, I take the time and care to create magic with the light and nature around me. Just like my astrology sign, the Taurus, I am always at my best out in nature and tend to explore as often as possible to bring new and exciting places to my clients for their perfect shoot. With each session, I work hard to customize to your personal needs. You want posed and smiles? You've got it. You want all natural, goofy faces, cheesy smiles and tickle fights? You bet! You want artsy? Let's do it! Magazine worthy? I'm all there! Every session is unique and special to the people involved. No two sessions are ever alike. I want to capture YOU! Raw, real, natural, silly, feisty, you! Think of me as your new best friend, willing to do all I can to create the perfect session for you. A little about me..I am a creative Taurus and the mother to 2 feisty, crazy, and lovable little boys. I have been studying and capturing memories since 2015, and continue to grow with each session and passing year. I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, which helps with finding the perfect locations around town and surrounding areas to customize your session and bring your vision, and mine, to life. I also shoot out of a beautiful studio that used to be an old train depot station in Auburn, Indiana. It is my favorite place to create, especially for my boudoir clients.
I am a huge supporter of LGBTIQA+, and love all my peoples equally. Being a Demi-sexual Pan-sexual/Bi-sexual myself, I have dealt with a lot of flack during my life. To me, Love is Love and I'm here to capture that love in whatever way possible. I am the biggest geek you will ever meet. I'm obsessed with reading. Fantasy is my go to when I need to relax and unwind and I will devour a new book in a matter of days! I'm also full of random knowledge and just as awkward (if not more so) than you are, so I guarantee we will get along fine. I'm a Gryffindor/Slytherin mixture, and darn proud of it. Comic books own my heart and though I proudly stand with Marvel, I'm also a huge DC fan. I cosplay at many Comic Conventions with my children and it is something we love to do as a family every year. I love ALL things horror and if you're brave enough to check out my artistic page, Nightmare Imagery, you'll see that I pour so much passion into my artwork, and I tend to take from my love for horror movies and the supernatural, and use that quite a bit in my work. Astrology and all things spiritual are some of my biggest passions and I've been studying for over 2 decades! A lot of my work reflects my ideologies and spirituality and I think that helps set me apart from most other photographers. You'll find that I always have a crystal (or two) on me somewhere and more than likely some sage or lavender.
